Frontier Girls

Frontier Girls is a youth program for girls ages three through 18. Our youth program promotes community service, patriotism, Christianity, teamwork, and leadership skills. With nine areas of discovery, we offer over 1200 individual badges on just about every topic a girl would wish to learn about. We also have an entire area of badges dedicated to learning character traits such as honesty, responsibility, and kindness.

Troop #202 has an ongoing service project in which we would like all girls to participate. We collect aluminum tabs (some food cans are steel) to donate to Ronald McDonald House for their operational expenses. Have your neighbors, relatives, friends, and coworkers help you save tabs. They can be brought to a meeting or dropped on my front porch anytime. We will take them up to Hershey once a year.

Specifics for uniforms can be found on the website. Simply, it is a white shirt and blue bottoms. Jeans are acceptable as long as they are not shredded. The vests are available online. Once the vest is purchased, the troop will provide all the necessary items that are put on it- flag, troop numbers, etc. Please let me know when you need them. Uniforms are only necessary when we are participating in an outside event or field trip.

You can browse for more information on the national website: www.frontiergirls.com

Our meetings are held as an after-school program. We will begin regular meetings on September 9th. Meeting are held from dismissal until 4:30 PM. If there is no school, we will not have a meeting.
